About the role
The Yale School of Medicine offers various programs including the MD program and the PA program. The MD program provides comprehensive education and training for aspiring physicians.
Responsibilities
- Medical students gain early exposure to vascular surgery through research projects, clinical exposure, and simulation activities.
- Members will have the opportunity to attend and scrub in interesting vascular operations.
- Participate in open/endovascular training sessions and other simulation activities.
- Apply for grants to attend regional and national vascular surgery conferences.
- Attend the annual Gusberg Symposium of Yale Vascular Surgery.
- Engage in summer or yearlong research activities.
- Attend journal clubs and weekly vascular surgery didactic sessions at YNHH.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Strong academic performance.
- Pass relevant standardized tests.
- Completion of pre-medical prerequisites.
- Strong interest in vascular surgery.
