About the role
The Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation is a state-of-the-art center promoting the acquisition of basic and advanced clinical skills that are essential for medical students and residents.
Responsibilities
- Provides learners with a safe space to acquire and practice their skills.
- Offers a diverse population of Simulated Participants to ensure representation.
- Conducts simulation-based services including education and training, evaluation and assessment, facility design and testing, environmental and workflow analysis, systems integration, device testing, and educational research opportunities.
- Promotes informal STEM learning for high school students in New Haven through the Science Education Partnership award.
- Offers a one-year fellowship for qualified Emergency Medicine residency graduates in the Healthcare Simulation Fellowship program.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to healthcare education and simulation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in virtual reality training courses.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement training scenarios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant work experience in healthcare education or simulation.
- Certification in simulation-based training preferred.
