Responsibilities

Perform routine diagnostic radiographs as requested by medical providers
Ensure optimal functioning of radiology equipment and report any issues
Participate in continuing education to keep your skills sharp and meet licensure requirements
Embrace additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the team's success

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board
  • Radiography ARRT- R.T. (R-ARRT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR
  • Experience with general office equipment and Digital Radiography (DR)
  • Two year prior diagnostic imaging preferred but not required
  • Experience in Pediatrics and Geriatrics preferred

Qualifications

Produces high quality images: determines technical exposure factors, identifies and removes artifact producing objects, and utilizes shielding devices to protect the patient, self, and others
