X-Ray Technician

About the role

The X-Ray Technician for the Department of Orthopaedics will perform radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. They will perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgments, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.

This is a per diem position. The associate will be required to travel to all Orthopaedic locations due to emergencies, vacations, and sick calls for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgments, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Absorb responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Travel to all Orthopaedic locations due to emergencies, vacations, and sick calls for coverage.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a formal two year radiologic technology training program.
• Licensed by the State of New York
• Verified by ARRT

Pay

Hiring rate is $46.11 per hour, which may vary based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.

Schedule
