Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality diagnostic films by precisely positioning patients and selecting optimal exposure factors.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope, monitor patients for abnormal reactions, and strictly follow radiation safety protocols.
• Ensure all images sent to PACS are high-quality, accurately labeled with lead markers, and include correct patient data and history.
• Monitor equipment functionality, report malfunctions using lock/tag-out procedures, and maintain a clean, orderly department.
• Evaluate protocols and recommend refinements to enhance imaging standards and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiology Technician obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Preferences

• 1+ year of recent experience as Radiology Tech
