Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including positioning the patient correctly.
- Operate x-ray equipment and communicate the process to the patient.
- Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting all malfunctions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Process and enter radiological procedure information into electronic health record as soon as completed.
- Provide additional reports and information as needed.
- Evaluate and maintain examination rooms to ensure rooms are clean and stocked, including ensuring necessary medical and radiological supplies are filled.
- Place a high priority on and maintain strict confidentiality in all situations.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain applicable professional affiliations and certifications as required.
- Attend and participate in required organizational meetings and committees as requested.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
- Maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (AART).
- Maintain an active Indiana State license.
- Salary range: USD $22.00/Hr. to USD $33.00/Hr.
