X-Ray Tech - PRN

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including positioning the patient correctly.
• Operate x-ray equipment and communicate the process to the patient.
• Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting all malfunctions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Process and enter radiological procedure information into electronic health record as soon as completed.
• Provide additional reports and information as needed.
• Evaluate and maintain examination rooms to ensure rooms are clean and stocked, including ensuring necessary medical and radiological supplies are filled.
• Place a high priority on and maintain strict confidentiality in all situations.
• Participate in professional development activities and maintain applicable professional affiliations and certifications as required.
• Attend and participate in required organizational meetings and committees as requested.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
• Maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (AART).
• Maintain an active Indiana State license.
• Salary range: USD $22.00/Hr. to USD $33.00/Hr.
