About the role
Seeking a Limited Practice Radiographer who provides expertise and champions patient care. This role requires performing timely and quality radiology procedures, quality control checks, drug screens, urinalysis, and other in-house lab tests. Responsibilities also include maintaining records and logs, working closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator, and all clinic staff, and assisting with general patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
- Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
- Perform drug screens, urinalysis, and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
- Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
- Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator, and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
- Is cross-trained for front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks, and records release.
- May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
- Works with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services.
- Aid in general patient care when needed.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences.
- Limited Practice Radiographer license in South Carolina.
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
- Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
- Office Laboratory Assistant License if required by the state.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
Skills
Strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in using office laboratory equipment and software is also required.
