Responsibilities
- Performs either X-ray or Mammography procedures under the clinical direction of a Radiologist, Cardiologist or Surgeon.
- Ensures patient safety and maintains sterile technique during imaging procedures.
- Documents procedures accurately and promptly according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare team members regarding imaging procedures and results.
- Maintains equipment and supplies in good working order and reports malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT registration.
- BCLS certification.
- If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within one month of employment date.
Qualifications
Required: No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in all aspects of the position within three months of employment date.
