X Ray Tech - Ocala

Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, operate fixed and portable radiology equipment to take radiographs of designated portions of the body while ensuring quality assurance, record keeping, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, including C-Arm equipment
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified body area
• Operate equipment at the computer console for storage, transfer, playback data, generating images, and other means
• Assure patient safety and satisfaction
• Position patient on examining table
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation and confidence
• Examine radiology film for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness
• Maintain CPR, Florida License, and ARRT License by adhering to CEU responsibilities
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Current Florida License as a Radiologic Technologist or BMO

$33.00 an hour
