X-Midas Software Engineer

About the role

This individual will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists to create custom digital signal processing solutions and communications systems in support of national security and defense.

Responsibilities

- Work with a small, dispersed team on software frameworks that support advanced hardware- and software-based SIGINT systems. - Support core signal and image processing algorithms, hardware control, GUI design, and database development. - Demonstrate disciplined work habits leading to products that are well-structured, documented, and carefully tested. - Direct interaction with end users and customers.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field. - 5+ years of experience in practical system development and deployment. - Demonstrated mastery of C/C++ development in Linux. - Experience with reusable framework design and development. - Strong math and analytical skills. - Experience with MIDAS (preferably X-MIDAS) framework and Python. - Above experience in a classified environment. - Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (US citizenship required).

Desired

- Experience with geolocation and/or digital signal processing, preferably in a classified application. - Experience with Java and Qt. - Experience with the REDHAWK framework. - Experience supporting SIGINT processing systems.
