About the role
Provide tutoring services to TCDM students in approved subjects, facilitating academic success and promoting effective study strategies. Ideal for experienced students with strong communication skills and a passion for helping peers succeed.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support students in becoming more successful, independent learners
- Help students master course concepts and applications under advisement of the course director
- Integrate effective study strategies and promote academic success
- Encourage systematic approaches to studying
- Use effective and respectful communication skills with diverse individuals
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisor
- Abide by FERPA regulations and uphold confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication
- Utilize organized note-taking and academic documentation
- Establish positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff
- Participate in offered professional development
Qualifications
- Must be a current KYCO & KYCOM (with approval from Dean) or TCDM student
- Minimum grade of 'B' (85%) in the course(s) to be tutored

Pay: $15.00/hr
Schedule: Hours vary depending on workload; no more than 5 hours per week unless otherwise approved
