WS - Intramural Sports Game Day Official

About the role

Support the CSE team by officiating intramural sports competitions and maintaining a respectful environment. Ensure rule enforcement and safety while collaborating with game day staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the referee or umpire for intramural sports events
• Make accurate and unbiased calls according to the rules of the game
• Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring play and enforcing rules
• Understand and apply the official rules and regulations for each sport
• Address rule violations and disputes promptly and fairly
• Ensure games start and end on time
• Monitor playing area and equipment for safety hazards
• Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and officials
• Maintain accurate game records and submit reports
• Participate in training sessions and support fellow officials

Pay

$8.75/hour

Schedule

Sunday through Saturday; hours vary based on sport schedule. Multiple positions available with flexible hours per week (4–8 depending on sport).

Work conditions

Heat, cold, outdoor exposure. Physical demands include standing for long periods, movement on fields, and lifting light equipment.
