About the role
This role partners closely with commercial leadership, sales operations, and technical teams. You will influence how our sales teams operate day-to-day, improve data quality and insights, and deliver solutions that directly impact revenue performance and customer experience. Responsibilities
- Requirements & Solution Leadership
- Lead end-to-end requirements gathering across Salesforce CRM, CPQ, telephony/Omni Channel, and reporting platforms
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and process flows
- Evaluate solution options, assess trade-offs, and ensure designs are scalable, intuitive, and aligned with commercial goals
- Identify and manage cross-system impacts across processes, data, reporting, and user experience
- Project Ownership & Delivery
- Serve as the functional lead and project owner for key commercial technology initiatives
- Manage intake, prioritization, and backlog refinement across multiple workstreams
- Partner closely with technical teams to drive execution, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks
- Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery with strong alignment across stakeholders
- UAT, Release & Quality Management
- Own UAT strategy, test planning, and execution in partnership with business users
- Define acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet requirements before deployment
- Coordinate release readiness, deployment activities, and post-launch validation to ensure smooth adoption
- Process Optimization & Adoption
- Analyze end-to-end sales workflows (lead → quote → order) to identify friction points and improvement opportunities
- Recommend and implement enhancements that improve seller productivity, data quality, and process consistency
- Champion standardization and best practices across commercial tools and processes
- Manage cross-functional projects or system enhancements from intake through deployment
- Drive UAT planning, execution, and release readiness
- Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
- Act as a primary liaison between commercial leaders, sales operations, and technical teams
- Provide clear, consistent communication on priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes
- Support change management efforts, including training, documentation, and adoption strategies
- Proven ability to lead requirements gathering, user story creation, and end-to-end solution design
- Reporting & Insights
- Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting requirements
- Ensure systems and processes enable accurate, actionable insights for commercial teams
- Support ongoing data governance, data quality monitoring, and integrity initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial Systems, Sales Operations, or Commercial Technology roles
- Deep expertise with Salesforce CRM, including hands-on configuration and functional design (Salesforce CPQ or adjacent tools a plus)
- Experience with Omni Channel/telephony platforms (e.g., Amazon Connect, Five9, Talkdesk)
- Familiarity with data governance, reporting structures, and KPI development
- Experience with commercial systems project management and delivery
- Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools (Salesforce dashboards, Tableau, Power BI)
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, Business Analyst, CPQ Specialist) preferred
- Background in B2B sales, commercial operations, or asset-intensive industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess data, diagnose issues, and recommend scalable solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and influence without authority
- Demonstrated experience optimizing sales processes, workflows, and commercial tools
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
