Wrestling Coach - THS
Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) encompasses over 720 square miles, serving students in California's Nevada, Placer, and El Dorado counties. With a student population of approximately 4,000 across 12 schools, TTUSD is committed to providing a comprehensive educational experience, including a variety of extracurricular activities such as band, clubs, and sports like soccer, football, track, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, tennis, snowboarding, Nordic and Alpine skiing.
About the role
The Wrestling Coach at Truckee High School will be responsible for developing and implementing a competitive wrestling program that aligns with the school's mission and values. The coach will also be expected to mentor student-athletes, provide academic support, and foster a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a competitive wrestling program that meets state and national standards
- Mentor student-athletes, providing guidance on academics and personal development
- Foster a positive team culture and promote sportsmanship
- Manage equipment, facilities, and travel arrangements for team events
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive athletic program
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in physical education or a related field
- Minimum of three years of successful coaching experience at the high school level
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
