Wrapper Room Utility - Line 410
About the role
Determines need for materials based on production schedule and availability. Opens containers and replenishes line supplies. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials used on daily production sheet. Enters data into computer and prints labels using applicable data. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and cleans work area, machines and equipment to assist machine operators. Makes simple adjustments to equipment to accept product or manufacturing materials. Operates pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Assists with cleaning and sanitizing of equipment. Performs disassembly and assembly of product tables and line equipment. Perform all other duties as needed.
Schedule
- 3rd Shift (Sunday – Thursday, 10:20 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)
- Onsite; other days and hours as needed
Pay
- $23.88 - $25.10 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Plus shift differential of $2.00 for any hours worked on 3rd Shift
Requirements
- Overall good work record (which includes attendance, safety, job performance, flexibility, and team behaviors)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cohesive, cross-functional team environment
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Demonstrated ability to promote and implement continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
- Good attention to detail
- Willing to cross train and cover other positions as needed
- Willing to acquire an electric pallet jack license
Preferred qualifications
- Previous machine operator experience
- Accurate measurement and conversion skills
- Good mechanical skills and/or previous technical training
- Troubleshooting ability
