Amal Healing and Advocacy Center (AHAC) is seeking a qualified individual consultant, consultancy team, or firm to strengthen its programming under the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda across Türkiye and Syria.
About the role
The selected consultant/team will:
- Review AHAC's existing portfolio against UNSCR 1325 and related WPS resolutions.
- Identify key strengths, gaps, and opportunities for stronger WPS integration.
- Facilitate two participatory working sessions with AHAC's programme team.
- Develop a concise WPS Positioning Paper defining AHAC's institutional role and comparative advantage.
- Develop a practical WPS Programming Framework identifying priority areas and concrete programming entry points for Türkiye and Syria.
- Provide practical recommendations to support future programme and proposal development.
The assignment is expected to be completed within approximately 6–8 weeks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in WPS, gender-responsive programming, women's rights, peacebuilding, protection, or related areas.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and writing skills.
- Experience related to Syria, Türkiye, Syrian civil society, women-led organizations, or refugee-led organizations is considered an advantage.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience.
