Wound Treatment Nurse
Job Summary
The Wound Treatment Nurse is responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring residents with acute and chronic wounds. This position works closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based wound care, regulatory compliance, and optimal healing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on wound care, including dressing changes and treatment interventions
- Monitor wound healing progress and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
- Educate staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, and best practices
- Participate in care planning, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Missouri
- Wound care experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of wound prevention, treatment modalities, and documentation standards
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
Full-Time Day Shift: 7:00am-4:00pm
