About the role
Covenant Living, the nation's sixth-largest nonprofit senior living provider, is seeking qualified candidates for Registered Nurses (RNs) to help fulfill our common purpose: to create joy and peace of mind for our residents and their families by creating a better way of life.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality care is delivered through assessment and monitoring of staff performance, physician contact, care planning, and daily resident assessment.
- Provide direct care to residents.
- Work in Skilled Nursing (SNF), focusing on wound care.
- Routine daily direction and monitoring of LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit, ensuring a high standard of nursing care and satisfactory completion of tasks.
- Aid in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
- Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, conditions, etc.
- Observe and evaluate residents' health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
- Notify the physician and family members according to prescribed procedures when indicated.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State.
- One year nursing experience necessary.
- Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
- Skill in assessing problems, planning, and evaluating solutions in relationship to routine supervision of LPNs and nursing assistants and resident needs.
- Understanding, patience, and tact in dealing with people.
- Genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English).
- Availability to work beyond normal working hours and in other related positions on a temporary basis; as well as availability on weekends and holidays, or on days and shifts other than those for which hired.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.

- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of nursing standards of practice, standard procedures, and established State and Federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.

Pay
The reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $36.90 - $51.94 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
Schedule
This position is a Full Time, Day Shift position.
