Wound Care Physician Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible wound care physician with experience in outpatient clinics or academic settings. This position is based at the South Sacramento Medical Facility and involves work at multiple campuses, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including nurses and specialists from podiatry, vascular surgery, endocrinology, and more.

Responsibilities

• Perform wound care procedures such as debridement, hematoma evacuation, biologic dressings, biopsies, and potentially operative debridement and skin grafting
• Supervise wound and ostomy nurses
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Engage in possible academic and research opportunities
• Handle administrative duties as required

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in wound care
• Experience in outpatient clinics or academic settings

Preferred Skills

• Surgical training
• Hyperbaric medicine training
• Vascular medicine training
