Responsibilities
The Wound Care Nurse RN plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all Guests. The responsibilities include:
- Performing skin treatments for all guests under their care.
- Obtaining treatment orders from attending physicians and assisting with modifying the treatment regimen in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of all Guests under their care by following applicable laws, regulations, and established nursing policies and procedures.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate from and accredited RN nursing program.
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
- C.P.R. Certified.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3 years’ experience as an RN in a long term care setting.
- 1 year experience as a wound care nurse.
- Wound care certification.
Qualifications
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Joint Commission procedures.
- Knowledge of IDPH regulations.
