Wound Care LPN-HBO Tech - Full Time

About the role

At RestorixHealth, our mission is to restore health and improve the quality of life – and access to care – for patients with wounds. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse / HBO Technician to provide wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to our referred patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing age-specific assessments in designated time frames
• Provides therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations
• Works collaboratively with all other disciplines at assigned unit
• Uses the “nursing process” to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Participates in department’s quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data
• Documents all care provided accurately & completely according to hospital and department policy
• Recognizes changes in the patient’s condition and intervenes appropriately
• Enters all patient treatment notes into RHX’s EMR system
• Complies with HIPAA policies and procedures
• Adheres to patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures
• Uses appropriate hospital resources, supplies, and equipment
• Provides outstanding customer service skills to patients, patient family members, referring physicians, and coworkers

Qualifications

• Valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P, RN, or LVN/LPN certification in the state where the Technician will work
• CHT trained/certified preferred
• Prior experience with wound care patients preferred (will train)
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred
• Physically able to perform CPR
