DeRoyal is a global medical device manufacturer focused on improving clinical quality and economic health through innovative solutions. We are seeking an energetic and outgoing Wound Care Clinical Sales Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise related to sales and marketing initiatives by serving as a field-based clinical resource to customers, end-users, and within the sales and marketing teams for all DeRoyal Wound Care product lines.
  • Represent DeRoyal as a Clinical Expert, supporting Sales Representatives in promoting DeRoyal’s wound care lines and assisting with clinical questions and best practice use of products for ideal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain key clinical relationships with targeted customer accounts by providing ongoing clinical consultation and collaborating with internal DeRoyal teams to secure and increase DeRoyal’s Wound Care business within the account.
  • Act as a clinical liaison for customers by providing their clinical feedback, questions, and overall concerns regarding DeRoyal’s Wound Care products to internal DeRoyal teams, promoting consistent and uniform messaging, and collaboratively solving problems.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to coordinate, create, present, and implement NPWT product presentations and evaluations to ensure clinical acceptance and conversion.
  • Coordinate with hospital clinicians to develop educational tools, programs, and inservicing presentations that meet the needs of their facility.
  • Deliver Clinical presentations to Hospital executive teams to secure evaluation approval.
  • Provide initial and ongoing NPWT education and advice to Hospital staff including Doctors, WOCNs, Discharge Planning, and other key departments.
  • Help hospital clinicians create policies and procedures regarding the use of DeRoyal NPWT products as well as a standard of comparison to benchmark success based on pre-stated expectations of their facility.
  • Maintain a presence at the majority of the NPWT dressing changes during the product evaluation and conversion stages.
  • Maintain professional credentials and any education necessary to maintain clinical status, staying up to date with best practices by reviewing relevant literature, peer-reviewed journals, and participating in regional and national wound care organizations.
  • Comply with and meet vendor credentialing program requirements of all accounts within assigned territory.
  • Provide clinical guidance and work to understand customers' complaints, accompanying them with potential solutions to help resolve product or user issues.
  • Aid in internal/external training, education, clinical research, and product development.
  • Develop and conduct clinical education training programs for internal and external use across all DeRoyal Wound Care product categories.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, healthcare facilities, and DeRoyal sales, marketing, and quality teams to facilitate appropriate development and use of white papers, case studies, and clinical research to validate the safety, efficacy, and positive financial impact of DeRoyal WC products.
  • Participate in the after-hours NPWT Clinical Support line as needed.
  • Update sales opportunities and forecasts through company CRM program (SalesForce.com).
  • Keep and organize timely records and manage customer activities including call reports and follow-up through company CRM program (SalesForce.com).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Current RN licensure required
  • Wound Care certification (WCC or CWS) required, WOCN preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Wound Care specific work experience, training, or a combination required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Able to read, analyze, develop, and interpret clinical publications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to create and effectively deliver a presentation to a large group
  • Able to creatively think and interactively solve problems
  • High attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through skills
  • Experience with a CRM platform like SalesForce.com preferred
  • Domestic travel up to 50% of the time including overnights
  • Potential for occasional international travel to support international sales team
