Walk others through the Discipleship Pathway (Essentials → JCL → Be the Church), helping them discover and take their next step.

Shepherd people, not just programs, by listening for where God is at work in their story and walking with them toward transformation.

Equip and release others by developing Servant Leaders and multiplying disciples who Learn from Christ, Live in Christ, and Lead others to Christ.

Measure success by life change, spiritual formation, and multiplication—not just attendance or activity.

Specific List Of Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plans, oversees and evaluates all components of College Worship ministry and NextGen worship.
  • Conducts regular planning meetings with peers and servant leaders.
  • Assists other pastors and local campus ministries in the successful completion of regular worship events and special events.
  • Aids in the management of the campus worship ministry budget within the parameters established by the One Church Worship team and Starkville Campus Lead Worship Pastor.
  • Establishes goals and objectives for College Worship ministry and initiates strategies to fulfill them.
  • Works closely with Starkville Campus Lead Worship Pastor, College and Student Pastors/Ministers to ensure continuity of worship service programming among areas of the ministries.
  • Plans and promotes activities to support College worship ministry.
  • In keeping with the principles taught in Ephesians 4:11-12, supervises the enlistment, education, and evaluation of all servant leaders in the College Worship Ministry, which may include vocalists, band members, and production support teams.
  • Performs administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports and completing purchasing orders as specified by church policy.
  • Attends at least one regular weekly worship service and be present on the church campus during all other regular weekly worship services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works with and leads servant leaders.

Qualifications

  • Education And/Or Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of experience minimum for competitive candidates. Applicable experience may substitute for portions of the educational framework.
  • Language Skills: Understands written or oral instructions; reads, analyzes, and interprets documents, instruction manuals, and policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicates clearly and effectively on the telephone, email and in person, demonstrates tact and diplomacy.
  • Computer And Mathematical Skills: Demonstrated skill in the use of Windows/MacOS to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. Basic mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting, and budget and expense monitoring. Ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.
  • Reasoning Ability: Conceptualizes and plans multiple tasks; projects outcomes using different implementation strategies; applies creative and innovative thinking to problem situations; works effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly sits, stands, talks or hears. Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
