World Language Teacher - SM High School

About the role

This is an opening for a qualified World Language Teacher capable of teaching all levels of French, Spanish, German or other world languages.

Responsibilities

• Teach all levels of French, Spanish, German or other world languages.
• Adapt to a wide range of students, their abilities, and ages.
• Be rigorous, flexible, creative, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Have prior successful experience as a high school level World Language teacher or student teaching experience.
• Show ability to build positive relationships with students and support their success.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the various needs of all learners.

Qualifications

• Absolutely required: Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
• Absolutely required: Must hold or be eligible for State of Maine Teaching Certification.
• Preferred: Experience working with students with social and emotional challenges.
• Preferred: BA / Master’s degree.
• Required: Knowledge in differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners.
