World Language Teacher (2026 - 2027)

About the role

Discovery Flex is a hybrid virtual charter school authorized by BESE and part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. The school is excited to bring Discovery education to Louisiana through a partnership with Ochsner Health. It opened in the August 2024-25 school year, initially serving grades 5th through 8th, and plans to expand to grades K-12th at full capacity.

Responsibilities

• Teach World Language Education to students in grades K-12
• Lead extracurricular student activities (optional)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in World Language Education
• Certification in Elementary Education and/or Secondary Education (desirable)
• Two (2) or more years of teaching experience in a school setting
• ESL certification or willingness to obtain an ESL certification (strongly preferred)
• Significant experience with online learning and educational technology platforms

Qualifications

A strong candidate will have significant experience with online learning and various educational technology platforms.

• Ability to lead extracurricular activities
