About the role

The World Language: Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish language courses at Leuzinger High School.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Spanish language courses aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of English Learners.
  • Assess student progress through various methods including quizzes, tests, and projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement co-teaching strategies and support English Learners.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians.

Requirements

  • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the high school level.
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction and effective strategies for supporting English Learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about teaching Spanish and supporting English Learners.

  • Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.

Salary Schedule A, appropriate placement based on credential validity and experience.

Schedule
