The Workshop Supervisor
The Workshop Supervisor leads, coaches, and motivates a team of technicians, ensuring strong teamwork, accountability, and performance. They own workshop results for safety, quality, efficiency, and resource utilization. The position reports directly to the Workshop Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring strong teamwork, accountability, and performance
- Own workshop results for safety, quality, efficiency, and resource utilization
- Plan and manage maintenance activities using TCR processes and SAP, including manpower, parts, and workload prioritization
- Oversee work packages, track progress, backlog, and bottlenecks, and ensure maintenance is delivered on time and to standard
- Provide management with visibility into capacity, feasibility, risks, and operational constraints
- Review, complete, and sign off on inspection and maintenance documentation
- Support technicians with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and on-the-job coaching
- Drive knowledge transfer and skills development within the team
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to support daily operations and equipment availability
- Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing processes, procedures, and equipment reliability
- Identify and implement technical and cost-saving improvements to improve asset availability
- Maintain full responsibility for workshop administration, including work orders, time tracking, and invoicing preparation
- Actively promote and lead safety culture, ensuring compliance with OHS and TCR safety standards
- Perform hands-on technical duties when required and complete other tasks as assigned to support business needs
Qualifications
Expert technical background in GSE maintenance and repair: mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, air pressure, aircon/refrigeration units, and electrical systems (Preferred)
Ability to make complex decisions whilst under pressure
Stress resistant
Assists in implementation of formal quality improvement
Demonstrates continuing commitment to achieving a OHSA friendly working environment by seeking out and attending additional safety education classes over and above those required
Assists in implementing safety culture

Good MS Office 365 skills
Leadership skills: facilitating teamwork, communicating the vision, effective delegation, managing change, managing conflict, directing others
Fully fluent in English – both oral and written
