Workshop Facilitator
About the role
Career TEAM is seeking a Workshop Facilitator to provide service orientations, career readiness workshops, and Career EDGE training for residents in Ventura County, both in person and virtually.
Responsibilities
- Create workshop schedules and invite partners to present (based on participant needs)
- Facilitate in-person and virtual orientations weekly
- Learn and present Career EDGE to the community and partners
- Act as the Career EDGE champion, providing local staff with EDGE certification training
- Assist customers with computers and assessments online
- Triage customers to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional customer service
- Greet visitors warmly and ensure they are comfortable
- Deliver presentations both in-person and virtually
- Serve as backup to the receptionist as needed
- Operate with a "ZAG" mindset
- Perform other duties and projects as needed
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to listen to customers, analyze expressed needs, and use good judgment in suggesting solutions or next steps
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, etc.)
- Experience in Career Services and Recruiting is considered extremely valuable
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to multi-task
- Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be able to keep current on training subjects and industry trends
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- A valid driver’s license

Pay
$50,000 - $55,000/yr. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Schedule
Position may require local travel up to 30% of the time. The selected candidate will be required to travel periodically to locations throughout the county for in-person workshops.
