Working student (f/m/d) IT operations within DevOps-setup

About the role

Today, almost every company relies on stable running IT applications and the availability of their products and services. This applies even more, when it comes to applications used for energy supply, operating energy markets and clearing of financial transactions in an exchange. The responsibility of our IT Operations team is to ensure stable operation of our high-availability 24/7 clearing applications and therefore we secure the availability of energy trading and clearing not only in Germany, but globally.

Our IT operations team runs specific and highly customized applications on technical “state-of-the-art” environments in a DevOps setup. In this role, you will learn about ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management), take over operational tasks, and work with a ticketing system. You will also contribute to developing our applications further (change tasks) and ensure compliance with regulatory IT frameworks by updating process descriptions and documenting changes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management)
• Perform operational tasks using a ticketing system
• Contribute to the development of applications (change tasks)
• Ensure stable operations of applications, tools, and services
• Understand, update, and document process descriptions to maintain compliance with regulatory IT frameworks

Requirements

• Ongoing studies in IT (Bachelor or Master’s)
• Interest in operational tasks and ITIL processes in a complex IT landscape
• Interest in working with and in DevOps methodology
• Availability as a working student for at least one year (due to onboarding and training)
• Willingness to work 20 hours per week, including 2 days in the office with colleagues
• Very good English skills and good German skills
