About the role

The Workforce Readiness Instructor is responsible for delivering structured workforce readiness training to participants enrolled in the Pathways to Recovery Program. The Instructor facilitates workforce development cohorts focused on employability skills, career exploration, digital literacy, financial literacy, workplace professionalism, communication, interview preparation, resume development, and job retention strategies. The Instructor works collaboratively with the Program Manager, Employment Specialist, Case Managers, and community partners to prepare participants impacted by substance use disorder and other barriers for successful employment and long-term retention.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured workforce readiness cohorts utilizing the approved Pathways to Recovery curriculum.
  • Deliver instruction on communication, professionalism, teamwork, conflict resolution, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Provide training in digital literacy, financial literacy, job search strategies, and career exploration.
  • Aid participants with resume development, cover letter writing, employment applications, and interview preparation.
  • Conduct mock interviews and individualized coaching.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and Employment Specialists to support participant employment goals.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and participant progress.
  • Document services and participant outcomes in agency systems.
  • Participate in hiring events, outreach activities, and workforce initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, agency standards, and grant requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Business Administration, Adult Education, or related field required.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.

Pay

$27.50 per hour

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-5pm
