Responsibilities

  • Attend and conduct community activities relating to employment services, connecting with employers and community organizations to market and enrich the program and participant success.
  • Maintain regular contact with employers to monitor employment satisfaction and suggest refinements to better prepare participants and meet employer hiring needs.
  • Work with participants to develop assigned subsidized placements, accurately complete Worksite Agreements, and clearly review policies and processes with participants and employers.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of job duties, and follow up with employer/participant surveys regularly to ensure program satisfaction and success.
  • Develop and/or strengthen relationships with local employers, colleges, military, and social service agencies to fulfill contractual objectives.
  • Enter data collected on client and employer activity in internal and/or state systems, maintain accurate participant records, perform filing and general clerical functions.
  • Track and report on placement activities, work with staff to identify job placement concerns, and propose solutions.
  • Conduct program marketing such as specialized recruitment sessions and job fairs.
  • Understand Labor Market Information, demand occupations, and monitor employment trends.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience hiring, training, and managing staff.
  • Past experience working with the targeted population.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of participants, staff, and community.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of issues affecting people with barriers and disabilities.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license, meet requirements for Eckerd’s auto insurance, and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Eckerd Connects adheres to California law CA A.B. 2188 regarding employer drug screening for California residents.

Pay

Hourly rate: $30.00 - $31.00

About Our Workforce Programs

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to create career pathways for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with employers and their intermediaries, as well as implement industry or sector partnerships.
