Workers Compensation Claims Examiner | Long Beach or Roseville, CA (Hybrid)

This role offers the opportunity to analyze complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims, work with high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, and ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests of directions in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of California Workers Compensation claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Credential as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Knowledge of California jurisdictional requirements and the Structured Interim Payment (SIP) program required or must be obtained within one (1) year of start date.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
