Responsibilities
- Build and maintain solid client relationships to retain business, focusing on larger valued or 360 Clients for onboarding, claims services setup, oversight, employer training, and claim reviews.
- Provide claims service and technical expertise as an advocate on client Workers’ Compensation (WC) claim issues, including large reserves, coverage, return-to-work, settlements, and retention/premium impacts.
- Consult with clients and their carrier/Third-Party Administrator (TPA) on complex claims matters.
- Prepare, coordinate, and present claim reviews, risk analysis, status spreadsheets, and other claim meetings as requested.
- Research and advocate for clients on coverage issues by reviewing policies and engaging with carriers.
- Participate in presentations to current clients, prospects, proposals, and RFP presentations, with or without sales executives.
- Maintain documentation and diaries for key claims in Sagitta and ImageRight.
- Serve as a back-up for other WC Claims Team members.
- Assist clients in enhancing return-to-work programs and light-duty opportunities.
- Provide claims management training and “WC 101” education to clients on the claims process.
- Regularly communicate with clients, carrier/TPA claims adjusters, internal teams, and vendors as an advocate, liaison, mediator, and problem solver.
Requirements
- Washington and/or Oregon Agent’s License with at least 5 years of experience in commercial, personal multiline, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Minimum 5 years of claims experience related to Workers’ Compensation.
- Proficiency in complex loss analysis and familiarity with WC claims litigation.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to follow through on tasks.
- Proficiency in Sagitta, ImageRight, claims functions, carrier websites, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presenting to groups.
- Commitment to continued insurance education and pursuit of professional designations (e.g., INS, AIC, SCLA, CPCU, ARM).
- California and Oregon experience preferred.

Pay
Salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
