About the role
An established law firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its New Jersey Workers' Compensation practice. The attorney will handle a wide range of workers' compensation matters and work directly with clients, courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of workers' compensation matters.
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues.
- Conduct legal research and prepare well-reasoned legal analyses.
- Draft pleadings and respond to written discovery.
- Handle court hearings and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
- Manage deadlines and case-related responsibilities effectively.
- Travel as needed for court appearances, client meetings, and other case-related matters.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 4–8 years of legal experience, preferably with significant workers' compensation experience.
- Active New Jersey Bar admission and good standing is required.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in workers' compensation law.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle litigation matters independently and effectively.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from either the Bedminster or Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office.
- Ability and willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings.
