About The Job Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workers' Compensation Audit Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our clients' workers' compensation premium audits. This is an opportunity to build and improve the audit department of one of California's fastest-growing workers' compensation agencies. Responsibilities Manage workers' compensation premium audits from start to finish.Review payroll records, tax documents, and financial statements to ensure accurate reporting.Gather and organize audit documentation from clients.Analyze audit worksheets and identify classification or payroll errors.Dispute incorrect audit findings and negotiate with insurance carriers when appropriate.Track all audits and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.Build standardized audit workflows, checklists, and internal procedures.Communicate directly with clients to explain audit requirements and results.Work closely with account managers, producers, and carrier auditors to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.Identify opportunities to reduce future audit exposure through proper payroll reporting and classification guidance. Qualifications 3+ years of workers' compensation premium audit experience, insurance underwriting, or agency audit management.Strong understanding of California workers' compensation classifications, payroll reporting, and audit procedures.Ability to interpret payroll reports, tax filings, financial statements, and insurance policy language.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.Experience working with insurance carriers, brokers, or premium auditors is highly preferred.
