Description Remote Our client seeks a Workday Security Architect Consultant to assess a mature Workday HCM security environment, identify gaps and best-practice opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations for a future-state security model. This role will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for analyzing the current state, benchmarking against leading practices, prioritizing enhancements, and creating a practical roadmap for improvement. This is a consultative, client-facing engagement focused on assessment and strategy rather than hands-on configuration. We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities Assess the current Workday HCM security design, roles, and policies.Benchmark security posture against leading practices and compliance expectations.Identify risk areas, access gaps, and opportunities to simplify role design.Define a future-state security model aligned to business needs and least-privilege principles.Prioritize enhancements and develop a practical, phased roadmap.Advise stakeholders and present findings with clear recommendations.Collaborate with Workday and security teams to validate feasibility and impacts.Produce documentation including assessment summary, gap analysis, and target-state design guidance. Experience Requirements Proven experience as a Workday Security Architect or senior Workday security consultant.Deep knowledge of Workday HCM security domains, role-based access, and segregation of duties.Track record delivering security assessments and strategy roadmaps.Experience with best practices for tenant security, governance, and audit readiness.Strong communication skills for client-facing presentations and stakeholder alignment.Ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable recommendations. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Human Resources Technology, Business, or a related field.Workday certifications are preferred.Advanced certifications in Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), or Governance are a plus.
