Workday Integration Engineer

About the role

UW Information Technology has an outstanding opportunity for Integration Engineer to join their team. Reporting to Technology Manager, the Integration Engineer is responsible for supporting UWs Workday HR/Payroll and Financials system. The incumbent designs, implements, supports, and maintains integrations between Workday and internal and external UW information systems to achieve the University’s quality and business objectives for financial management.

UW Information Technology (UWIT) is the central information technology organization for the University of Washington, responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the UW’s IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UW IT provides critical technology support to all three campuses, UW Medicine, and research operations around the world, partnering with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service. Data & Applications (D&A) is the division in UWIT that runs the university’s academic and business systems, productivity platforms, enterprise integrations, learning analytics and data for decision-making and is also responsible for the accessibility of UW’s digital resources. Data Integrations is the unit within D&A focused on data, especially UW Administrative data. The unit leads integrating data into the enterprise, amplifying the value of UW's data, and ultimately enabling customers and partner success.

Responsibilities

• Building and Testing of Integrations (35%): Build Workday integrations for HR/Payroll and Financial processes; become knowledgeable on integration configuration for common and advanced solutions within Workday development and configuration environment; influence decision‑making process for configuring and developing integration solutions considering short and long term goals; utilize version control process and toolset for managing development, enhancements and migration of Workday integrations across tenants; contribute to development of regression test capability for validating cloud‑based integrations during business process configuration
