About the role
Drive HR transformation and long-term customer impact in a remote-first team. This role is ideal for high-performing Workday functional consultants who bring deep HCM domain knowledge, practical tenant configuration skills, and a track record of delivering successful, compliant Workday deployments for US enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Lead functional design workshops and gather business requirements for Core HCM, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Benefits, and US Payroll processes.
- Configure Workday tenants: business processes, security roles, organizations, supervisory organizations, and tenant setup to meet client requirements.
- Design and build Workday reports, calculated fields, and integrations in collaboration with integration developers (XSLT, EIB, Studio) to ensure reliable data flows.
- Develop and execute test plans: unit testing, integration testing, and support client UAT; drive issue resolution and validation across functional and technical teams.
- Create cutover plans, documentation, end-user training materials, and deliver go-live support including hypercare and post-production stabilization.
- Partner with HR leaders, payroll teams, and external vendors to translate HR policy into system configuration and ensure compliance with US regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven Workday HCM implementation experience as a functional consultant on multiple projects.
- Hands-on configuration experience with Core HCM, Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Benefits.
- Experience designing Workday integrations and working with integration teams (EIB, Studio, Cloud Connect).
- Practical knowledge of Workday security model and business process framework.
- Workday HCM certification (or equivalent employer-sponsored certification) and strong tenant configuration track record.
- Familiarity with US payroll concepts and compliance considerations for Workday deployments.
Preferred
- Experience with Workday Studio development or hands-on collaboration with Studio developers.
- Background in Workday reporting and Prism Analytics for workforce insights.
- Consulting or vendor-side experience delivering end-to-end Workday implementations and change management.
