Workday Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and support the Workday Talent and Learning modules.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional Workday solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver system enhancements.
  • Configure business processes, security, reports, dashboards, and notifications.
  • Support Workday releases by evaluating new features and recommending improvements.
  • Perform system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely functional support.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, and user guides.
  • Ensure system configurations align with business needs and Workday best practices.

Required Skills

  • 8–10 years of overall IT experience with strong Workday Functional expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Talent and Learning modules.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes and configuration.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and business process configuration.
  • Knowledge of Workday security and data management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certification in Talent, Learning, or HCM is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday integrations and additional HCM modules is an advantage.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
