Workday Financials Sr Consultant

About the role

The Emerging ERP Solutions practice at Deloitte focuses on delivering cloud-based ERP applications such as Workday Financials and Infor to transform finance and supply-chain processes, making them more efficient and cost-effective. Teams leverage Deloitte’s expertise to deliver lasting results for clients by collaborating closely with CFOs, CIOs, and business unit leaders to provide business transformation and continuous support across industries. Projects involve Workday Financials, Supply Chain Management, Infor Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics, and Sustainability Technology and Strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams as a Workday Financials Sr Consultant
• Identify and document business requirements
• Provide functional design and prototyping (including scenario design and flow mapping)
• Conduct testing and user training
• Define support procedures
• Coordinate schedules and create documentation and collateral
• Create and execute test/use cases
• Configure Workday software
• Assist with prioritization and sequencing of workstream efforts
• Support project leadership as required

Qualifications

• 5+ years of consulting or industry experience in Workday Financials/ERP finance domain
• 2+ years of experience leading Financials workstreams and project teams
• Workday Financials Professional certification or ability to obtain upon joining
• A minimum of 1 full life cycle Workday Financial implementation
• Demonstrated knowledge in some combination of Record to Report, Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC)
• Ability to travel 50% on average, based on client and industry needs
• Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years equivalent professional experience

Preferred

• Advanced degree in a relevant area of specialization
• Functional knowledge of financial systems and processes
• Experience defining systems strategy, developing requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing business solutions under multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
• Experience as a lead and mentor to junior staff
• Strong presentation skills using MS Visio and MS PowerPoint

Pay

The wage range for this role considers factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. The current estimated range is $116,000 to $229,100. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each case. Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to program rules and performance factors.
