Workday Financials Functional Consultant (Procure to Pay)

Location: Remote (must be located in the USA). Long-term contract role.

About the role

Provide functional support and assistance for Workday Financials, ensuring smooth operations, troubleshooting system issues, and configuring system functionalities. Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to implement process improvements, gather system requirements, and deliver training. Analyze data, generate reports, and offer expert guidance on financials-related tasks.

• Support and maintain Workday Financials tools and configurations
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional or technical issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements and implement process improvements
• Provide training to end-users and team members
• Analyze financial data and generate reports
• Offer expert guidance on financials-related tasks and best practices

Requirements

• Experience with Workday Financials tools, configuration, and system maintenance
• Strong functional knowledge of financial processes: Accounts Payable, Receivables, General Ledger, and Procure-to-Pay
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting
• Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and financial system documentation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and training skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise-level applications and government contracts (preferred)
• Experience with State Government projects (a plus)
