Workday Financial Systems Analyst

Essential Duties

• Aid in designing, configuring, and modifying business processes related to Workday business requirements.
• Collaborate with business owners to identify gaps, recommend process improvements, configure solutions, and assist with testing of configuration changes.
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance of configurations and project design for new or enhanced functionality.
• Analyze data and configuration changes to support financial audits.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous education by developing and maintaining finance system training materials.
• Research and test new features, enhancements, and upgrades related to the finance system.
• Review upgrade documentation to ensure existing processes will continue to operate as expected.
• Manage finance test environments and ensure system changes are vetted before being placed into a production environment.
• Follow Information Technology's change management processes during quarterly updates and major changes that could impact other areas of the company.
• Provide first-level IT support to finance staff in various scenarios.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years related accounting experience.
• Experience with financial systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong technical and analytical aptitude.

PREFERRED EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Workday Financials preferred.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

• Able to sit, and use hands over 70% of the time.
• Able to focus with clear vision at 20 inches or less (computer screen).

Work Environment

• Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
