Workday Extend Consultant/Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Workday Extend Consultant/Architect to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will help establish and scale a growing technology practice focused on building custom solutions on the Workday platform. The position combines solution design, hands-on development, and architectural oversight for applications that extend core business functionality. You will partner closely with functional and integration teams to deliver secure, update-safe solutions that improve operational efficiency and create lasting development standards. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Design and prototype technical blueprints from complex business requirements Independently build, test, and deploy applications while ensuring they remain update-safe Troubleshoot and optimize applications by debugging complex logic and analyzing performance Contribute templates and best practices to a reusable solution library for future team members Collaborate with functional and integration teams to support seamless application integration Qualifications 3+ years of experience using Workday Extend Proficiency in REST APIs, JSON, and Workday Web Services; familiarity with WQL is advantageous Ability to design Workday orchestrations and custom security models independently Experience with App Builder in both visual and code modes, with understanding of Workday's metadata architecture Comfortable in a startup-style environment within a larger organization, proactive and adaptable Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Benefits Opportunity to be a founding member of a rapidly scaling practice Work within a small, agile team Ability to drive innovative solutions and define development standards Access to a collaborative work environment that emphasizes learning and growth Engagement in high-impact app development beyond standard modules Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
