Workday Developer Sr

About the role

This position will implement automation for HR systems including Workday Human Resource Management, Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, Workday Applicant Tracking, Inspired Learning Management System, and IBM Compensation Management. The role will replace manual data integration processes with automated programs to improve data integrity, develop Workday reports and dashboards for management decision-making, and configure self-service capabilities to eliminate paper-based tracking of personnel changes. The position will gather user requirements, configure Workday to support business processes, and serve as a technical point of contact for HR, Finance, IT, and other business units.

Responsibilities

• Apply Software Development Life Cycle methodologies to design, build, and test solutions.
• Design and build end-to-end technical solutions for complex business problems, including integration development, report and dashboard development, system configuration, and supporting applications and services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify process deficiencies and system requirements, implementing HRM solutions that anticipate customer needs and improve HR processes.
• Manage daily processing of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions between company systems and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with information security policies.
• Create and maintain documentation for system design, process workflows, test plans, business continuity plans, and end-user training.
• Stay current with new features and functionality, recommend software improvements, and evaluate software releases through system testing.
• Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
• Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards, maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; foreign equivalent accepted.
• 3+ years of programming/analysis experience, especially in reporting and integration development.
• 3+ years of configuration experience with HRIS systems and related processes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Workday HCM configuration and maintenance certification preferred.
• Workday experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of integrations and web services standards and technologies (e.g., SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT).
• Experience with HCM implementations, including hands-on configuration for HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of HR and Payroll laws to develop compliant solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders through clear communication, proactive collaboration, and cross-functional insights.
• Less than 25% travel required.
• No unusual physical exertion required per ADA.

Pay

$92,280.00 – $150,562.00
