    • Develop proficiency in office software and systems by using our database, calendaring software, and communication platforms to manage information and schedules.
    • Improve organizational skills by maintaining physical and digital files, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and preparing materials for meetings and workshops.
    • Enhance attention to detail by accurately entering data, proofreading documents, and ensuring compliance with university policies in our administrative processes.
  • Communication Skills
    • Strengthen professional communication skills by drafting emails, answering phone calls, and interacting with staff, faculty, and other departments.
    • Learn to communicate effectively in a professional setting by asking clarifying questions, providing clear updates on tasks, and participating in team meetings.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability
    • Gain experience in problem-solving by independently troubleshooting common administrative issues and seeking assistance when needed.
    • Develop adaptability and initiative by taking on new tasks, adjusting to changing priorities, and learning new procedures in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone and take messages.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying, and faxing.
  • Open and sort mail.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Adhere to the College's confidentiality policy.
  • Successfully pass background/drug screening.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technology.
