Learning Objectives

The Cleveland Public Library is seeking to hire Tutors for multiple locations throughout the county to provide basic skills, academic and/or literacy support to K - 12 youth and adults in the community. These positions will be off-site at a Cleveland Public Library branch. All sites are accessible by bus. This is the perfect job if you do not have a car as many of the branches are located in communities within a short distance to Tri-C campuses!

  • Demonstrate: Excellent communication skills

  • Teamwork skills
  • Conflict/behavior management skills

Must be reliable and have a desire to work with youth, teens, and/or adults in an urban setting.

Requirements

  • GPA of 2.0
  • Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
  • Adhere to college’s confidentiality policy;
  • Successfully pass background/drug screening;
  • Successfully complete AAI Solutions Online Training

Experience

  • Experience working with children;
  • Make at least a 2 semester commitment to the program;
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work with the community;

  • Located throughout the County.
