About the role
The Legal Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor. Duties include preparing correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents, scheduling medical appointments, proofreading documents for spelling and grammar, organizing and maintaining files, screening telephone calls and visitors, and reading and responding to mail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor's Degree
- At least two years’ of workers' compensation experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized
- MS Word proficiency (type 50 wpm)
- Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality
Skills & Experience
