Job Description
The Boston College Bands Program seeks a part-time Woodwind Instructor to provide instruction and support for the piccolo, alto saxophone, and tenor saxophone students in the “Screaming Eagles” Marching Band.
- Extensive experience playing and instructing these instruments.
- Available for our preseason Camp during the last two weeks of August from 9 AM to 10 PM.
- Weekly rehearsals during the fall season on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 PM to 10 PM.
- Available for seven home football games.
- Occasional command and travel performances including potential bowl games.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Music degree required, master’s degree in music or music education is preferred.
- Successful experience as a music instructor for marching band.
- Available for Band Camp.
- Attend all rehearsals and performances.
- In the event of post-season football games, available for post-season travel.
- Able to relate to, teach, and motivate college students.
