Woodshop Builder

About the role

The Woodshop Builder position at Philpac Corporation is a skilled labor role requiring woodworking experience. This role is based in Kenmore, NY and operates on both the 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze shop drawings/blueprints to understand the specifications.
• Select raw materials required for assembly components.
• Maintain inventory controls by tracking materials and items used during each project.
• Cut raw materials according to job requirements using nail guns and/or screw guns.
• Assemble cut materials while ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
• Wear proper safety equipment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior woodworking experience of 3-5 years is preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience operating a forklift is required.

Qualifications

• Reliable.
• Ability to use a tape measure and understand basic mathematics.
• Frequent hand and arm movements, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, and crouching.
• Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders.
• Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus attention.

Skills

• Understanding of how to use a tape measure.
• Basic understanding of mathematics.
• Ability to operate saws, nail guns, forklifts, etc., safely.

Pay

$17.50/hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday with two fifteen-minute paid breaks and a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
