About the Role
Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the facility's therapeutic programs to provide quality care and outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain administrative and clinical operations for quality patient care.
- Contribute to planning and implementing program goals, objectives, personnel, resources, and equipment.
- Implement approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcomes, and measures.
- Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, requirements, and benefits.
- Direct counselors, clinical staff, or other facility staff involved in service delivery.
- Provide management and oversight for the facility program.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure efficient program operations; identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate care delivery, workflow, scheduling, registration, discharge, and billing processes.
- Manage staff, including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication.
- Handle an assigned caseload if applicable to the program.
- Monitor staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels for timely care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans; maintain and audit charts and records.
- Serve as a liaison and consultant on clinical specialty issues, regulations, and standards.
- Assist in developing and implementing operating policies and procedures for the program or organization.
- Ensure procedures align with organizational objectives, treatment protocols, regulations, and care standards.
- Ensure operations conform to environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.
- Provide outreach services in the area of clinical specialty as needed.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
- Acknowledge and resolve patient complaints when needs are not met.
- Prioritize patient safety.
- Perform other assigned functions and tasks.
Requirements
- Master's degree in behavioral or mental health (required by state for licensed clinicians).
- Four or more years of experience working with the facility's population.
- One or more years of supervisory experience.
Qualifications
- Licensed counselor/therapist, as required by the state and area of clinical expertise.
- Valid driver's license, if required by the facility.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
- First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
